Richard Anderson, a resident of Thorntown, was our first Board President. It all began for Arc Rehab in the early 1960's when Lyndon Johnson was talking about "The Great Society", The Beatles were playing "Love Me Do" on Ed Sullivan, Dick Van Dyke had a hit TV show and Rick Mount was burning up the basketball court in Lebanon.
Richard realized that people with disabilities needed services that as of yet weren't available so they could have opportunities to live out their dreams. His hard work paid off. Thanks to Richard and the people he led as President, those services are now available.
Thank you Mr. Anderson for your vision and in your honor we have renamed our multi-purpose room at 900 W. Main in Lebanon the Richard Anderson Center. A plaque is on the wall in your honor.
Beverly Anderson attended our dedication to accept the plaque in her husband's honor.
