After considerable research and multi-year planning, the Arc Rehab Board of Directors voted in 2006 to complete the 2nd phase of their building and program expansion for people with disabilities in Boone County and Central Indiana.  After reviewing our business plan and presentation, United Way of Central Indiana agreed with our assessment and the Capital Funds Committee of UWCI voted to fund 50% of the construction of the new 4,180 square foot building.  After careful review of our project, the Community Foundation agreed to fund 90% and Boone REMC to fund 10% of our specialized equipment needed for the new building.

The Construction Project was awarded to the local firm of CF Jones Group and began on September 1, 2006 .  It is expected to be completed by February 1st of 2007 for PCS (Personal and Community Services Program).  This program to be located at 819 W. Main St., assists adults with multiple and involved disabilities to achieve higher levels of independence through skills training in every day living and involvement in their community.  A big thank you goes out to all philanthropic organizations who have currently assisted with the funding of this project (See pictures below)

The Arc Rehab Board of Directors will be conducting a community fund drive at the end of 2006 for all Boone County residents to have the opportunity to participate and assist in the funding of this much needed project.
