Emily Parker, Kiwanis Aktion Club President (left), presents a check to Jill Troha, Area Director (right) for the United Way Early Readers Club. This new program of United Way, encourages parents and caregivers to read to their child starting day one. Families register to receive 12 high-quality children’s books each year until the child’s sixth birthday, providing countless opportunities for kids and parents to read together. The Aktion Club is the only community-service club for adults with developmental disabilities. The Lebanon – Arc Aktion Club, a local service club is part of the Lebanon Kiwanis and allows members to develop initiative and leadership skills in serving their communities while enabling inclusion into their local community.
